CHIEF EXECTIVE OFFICER

Botswana Fibre Networks (BofiNet) is seeking a visionary, strategic, and dynamic individual to serve as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO is accountable and solely responsible for driving the strategic, financial, and operational leadership of the organisation.As CEO, you will report directly to the Board and provide overall leadership to ensure BofiNet achieves its mission of enabling Botswana’s digital transformation. You will cultivate a high-performance culture, lead stakeholder engagement at national and international levels, and spearhead initiatives that position BofiNet as a key player in the digital economy.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership in alignment with BofiNet’s vision and goals.
  • Ensure institutional efficiency, regulatory compliance, and sound governance.
  • Develop and implement growth strategies, including market expansion and service diversification.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing management team and promote a collaborative organizational culture.
  • Drive financial sustainability, stakeholder confidence, and public visibility.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with government, partners, donors, and other stakeholders.

  • Achievement of corporate goals and performance targets.
  • Growth in reputation, profitability, and stakeholder trust.
  • Efficient resource utilisation and budget compliance.
  • Development of a motivated and engaged workforce.
  • Strong strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

 

  • A Master’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Business Administration, ICT, Engineering, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 14 years’ professional experience, with at least 6 years in a senior executive role in a related industry or sector.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic leadership, operational execution, and stakeholder management.
