CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR

About Us:

Prime African Security is a trusted name in the security industry, providing comprehensive protection and rapid response solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. We are currently seeking diligent, service-oriented individuals to join our team as Control Room Operators or Call Centre Agents.

Role Summary:

As a Control Room Operator, you will be the first point of contact in our 24/7 control centre. Your responsibilities will include monitoring alarm systems and CCTV, as well as providing timely communication and support to clients in distress or under threat.

Key Responsibilities:

•⁠ ⁠Monitor alarm systems, CCTV feeds, and GPS tracking tools

•⁠ ⁠Receive and respond to panic, intrusion, fire, and other emergency signals

•⁠ ⁠Dispatch and coordinate response units according to standard operating procedures

•⁠ ⁠Answer incoming calls and handle client queries professionally and promptly

•⁠ ⁠Maintain accurate records of all incidents, communications, and dispatches

•⁠ ⁠Report system faults or incidents requiring escalation to supervisors

•⁠ ⁠Adhere to control room protocols and maintain a high standard of situational awareness

Minimum Requirements:

•⁠ ⁠Grade 12 certificate

•⁠ ⁠Security Training /Qualification

•⁠ ⁠At least 1 year of experience in a call centre

•⁠ ⁠Computer literacy (MS Office, control room software, dispatch systems)

•⁠ ⁠Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)

•⁠ ⁠Ability to remain calm under pressure and act swiftly during emergencies

•⁠ ⁠Clear criminal record

•⁠ ⁠Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
