MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN
Overall Purpose of the Role
Responsible for performing skilled electrical work in installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with Electrical Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- General and Task Management
- Installs, alters, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring systems and equipment both low and high voltage, and appliances systems, pumps, transformers, motors, and distribution systems
- Carries out planned and reactive maintenance of electrical equipment
- Designs electrical circuitry for electrical systems
- Installs and maintains electrical systems and equipment in accordance with relevant codes
- Lays out wiring systems for other structures
- Installs, tests, and repairs systems from blueprints or work orders
- Works with other maintenance personnel to keep them informed of jobs completed or in progress to complete work as efficiently as possible
- Uses hand and power tools and equipment necessary to complete assigned electrical tasks
- Performs other duties as requested by other members of management
- Installs and maintains lighting, heating, and power circuits and all domestic and commercial circuits, identify faults and problem solve with minimal downtime to production
