WAREHOUSE MANAGER Job Opportunity

Job Functions

To ensure that the warehouse is run in accordance with Namlog’s and Clients policies and procedures at all times. Develop and implement business strategies and processes that will improve the efficiency and profitability of the account. Responsible for the operational side of the business and that the branch meets or exceeds our clients service level agreements. Handle all HR issues and ensure the discipline of the warehouse employees.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions (include, but not limited to):

  1. Planning and managing the relationship between the business and its assigned clients

  2. Engaging in a variety of tasks including project management, coordination, strategic planning, relationship management, negotiation, leadership, and innovative development of opportunities

  3. Management of the site’s assets and equipment

  4. Compile and analyse monthly sites performance reports

  5. Preparation and submission of monthly billing for various clients’ divisions

  6. Identify and eliminate risk factors that can influence operation

  7. Management of the Labour Broker timesheets and invoices

  8. Management of the claims against the company

  9. Respond to all client queries timeously and to notify management of any issues raised by the client

  10. Maintaining open and frequent communication with other branches within Namlog, within your sphere of responsibility

  11. Training, supervising, and appraising staff

  12. Seek alternative business opportunities within the client to improve business processes

  13. Promote continuous improvement of processes and procedures to enhance service delivery to the client

  14. Responsible for the management of client and supplier service level agreements

  15. Ensure that the site’s operational activities are captured in accordance with the SOP’s

  16. Integrate and Manage the Operational MIS with day to day, weekly and monthly evaluation of collection and Delivery Quality and Productivity, Line Haul Departures and Arrivals, Maintenance of your Fleet, Vehicle performance with regards to operational efficiencies, Driver Performances, Fuel Consumption, Drivecam Evaluation

Minimum Requirements

  1. BGCSE certificate or equivalent

  2. Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Transport Management related qualification

  3. Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the transport industry, with at least 5 years in management position

  4. Local Regulations, Compliance Management and Investigation Knowledge

  5. Management of Health and Safety Knowledge

  6. Total Quality Management and Internal Audit Compliance Knowledge

  7. Knowledge of MS Word/Excel

  8. Must have own transport
