Job Description

We are seeking for a highly motivated and energetic Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic mining environment, develop valuable engineering skills, and contribute to the operational efficiency of our mine.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations governing mechanical engineering projects
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to project success.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and services and managing contracts.
• Ensure that projects meet quality standards and performance requirements
• Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by Supervisor.
• Providing input for monthly reports
• Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to mechanical equipment.
• Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to equipment performance.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and processes to improve efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering
• Two (2) years minimum work experience in mechanical engineering with project management background
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Registration with ERB will be an added advantage
• Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a mining environment
