Role Summary:
Jubilee Allianz General Insurance Company (Uganda) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Unit Manager to lead and manage a team of insurance professionals. This position involves collaboration with other departments and contributing to the company’s overall success through strong leadership and strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruitment, training, and motivation of agents
• Achievement of team targets
• Managing field activities and supervision of a sales team
• Identification of the team’s training needs and arranging for the relevant training
• Preparation of weekly and monthly production reports as required
• Ensuring retention and acquiring of new businesses
Required Experience and Skills:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role within a registered general insurance company
• At least 3 years’ experience of working as a general sales insurance agent
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• Goal-oriented with a proactive approach to meeting targets
• Ability to work with a team
Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree or a diploma in any field
• Certificate of Proficiency (COP) or a Diploma in Insurance
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
