About the Role
Mbeya Cement Company Limited is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Treasury Accountant to be based at its Mbeya Plant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role will oversee treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, and financial risk management to ensure efficient and compliant financial processes.
Key Responsibilities

Manage relationships with banks and rating agencies.

Implement treasury processes and internal control measures.

Develop reliable short- and long-term cash forecasts.

Reconcile daily bank transactions and balances.

Resolve discrepancies between treasury data and general ledger.

Monitor and forecast foreign exchange (FX) exposure.

Prepare monthly and year-end bank reconciliations.

Post daily banking transactions.

Support hedging decisions and obtain necessary approvals.

Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or CIMA).

At least 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or extractive industry.

ERP literacy (SAP preferred).

Proficiency in MS Office.

Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and accountability.
