Job Purpose
The Lead Trade Marketing – HORECA & Key Account will drive sales growth, enhance product visibility, boost customer engagement, and ensure efficient resource utilization through strategic trade marketing initiatives within the HORECA and Key Account channels.
Key Responsibilities

Implement brand portfolio strategies and trade marketing activations in HORECA and Key Account channels to increase market share.

Evaluate, optimize, and align national and regional promotional efforts to drive NARTD (Non-Alcoholic Ready-To-Drink) growth.

Leverage category insights and cross-market learnings to develop tailored activation plans for local market dynamics.

Ensure strategic alignment across internal and external stakeholders in executing growth initiatives.

Improve marketing and brand planning standards to align with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa’s (CCBA) strategic direction.

Build and manage strong relationships with key HORECA and Key Account partners.

Monitor and analyze trade marketing campaign performance, providing actionable insights.

Collaborate with Sales, Commercial, and Brand teams to integrate trade marketing strategies with commercial objectives.

Oversee development of Point-of-Sale (POS) materials and trade tools for impactful in-market execution.

Lead and support cross-functional project teams in planning and executing strategic campaigns.

Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

Coach and mentor junior team members, building trade marketing capabilities and fostering a high-performance culture.
Candidate Profile
Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Public Relations.
Experience and Skills:

Minimum 5 years of marketing experience in FMCG, with focus on trade marketing and category development.

Proven track record in planning and executing brand portfolio strategies.

Experience in budget management, marketing research, and stakeholder alignment.

Success in launching and managing regional/market trade activations and promotional campaigns.

Expertise in merchandising and product placement across retail channels.

Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and results-driven mindset.

Agile thinker with ability to make timely and effective decisions under pressure.
