Minimum qualifications

5+ years of experience in digital payments

Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
-
Experience in international money transfers or financial services management
Core responsibilities
-
Develop and manage digital payment products, including NFC, QR payments, and e-commerce payment gateways
-
Lead operations and partnerships for cross-border remittances (IMT), ensuring regulatory compliance and internal coordination
-
Serve as the primary liaison for IMT partners and ensure adherence to evolving regulatory requirements

Manage digital investment portfolios and collaborate on the development of innovative financial solutions
-
Negotiate and manage contracts, commercial agreements, and SLAs to support product development and profitability
-
Conduct market research and implement strategic initiatives to expand product reach and competitiveness
-
Lead BTL and ATL marketing campaigns to drive cross-selling and upselling of financial service products

Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to proactively manage risks in digital and financial services
-
Provide regular performance reports and strategic insights to senior leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team aligned with departmental and organizational goals

Participate in cross-functional projects to drive innovation and enhance efficiency within the Financial Services Unit and Mixx by Yas
-
Assist in staff training and upskilling on digital and financial products

Represent the company at industry forums, regulatory meetings, and fintech discussions

Stay current with global fintech trends and propose forward-looking digital and financial innovations

Proven experience in managing product portfolios and driving revenue growth in a fast-paced financial technology environment

Strong knowledge of Tanzanian and regional financial services markets, including digital payments and compliance

Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
-
Mature with a strong sense of ownership to your role; highly self-motivated with strong leadership skills
