Job Purpose:
Ensure that all retail products are set up and function in line with business rules and meet internal and regulatory requirements. The job holder will collaborate with product development, compliance, risk, legal, ICT and customer service teams to identify, analyze, mitigate, and fix any gaps or issues that exist in product set up or functionality.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end quality assurance process for retail products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Develop and implement testing frameworks and validation processes to ensure product integrity and performance.
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans including functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and stress testing.
- Validate new product features and enhancements before deployment.
- Ensure regular reporting on product assurance metrics, issues, and resolution status on a periodic basis (monthly/quarterly/annually)
- Support troubleshooting and issue resolution related to product quality.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with retail banking products, including operational, compliance, and reputational risks
- Monitor and evaluate product performance throughout its lifecycle, from development to retirement.
- Develop framework for feedback for continuous improvement based on performance data and customer feedback
- Stay up-to date on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory trends.
- Drive initiatives for process improvement, automation, and quality enhancement related to retail products
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of banking products and services, including loans, deposits, and digital banking solutions.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in the Tanzanian banking industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality assurance tools
- Knowledge of tools such as Selenium, JUnit, Appium, Postman, or LoadRunner
- Knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques.
- Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) that can help in writing automated tests
- Ability to analyze problems and determining the best methods for testing and validation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Accountancy, Economics, Finance or any other related field.
- A minimum of 4 years working experience in Commercial in the Financial Services industry
- Familiarity with methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or DevOps.
- Experience with testing methodologies and tools (e.g., manual and automated testing).
