Overview:
We are seeking a skilled accountant to manage our day-to-day finances, inventory costing, sales tracking, and reporting. Our company deals in fresh and processed fish, and we use an ERP system to manage operations.
Responsibilities:
Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, and cash flow
Prepare monthly financial reports
Monitor stock levels and cost of goods sold
Handle invoicing, customer payments, and supplier reconciliation
Bank reconciliations and tax filings (TRA)
Qualifications:
Diploma/Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of experience in accounting
Must know at least one ERP or accounting system (ERPNext, Tally, QuickBooks, etc.)
Strong Excel skills
Knowledge of VAT and tax compliance in Tanzania
Detail-oriented and good communication skills
Work closely with the sales and operations team
