ARTISAN BOILERMAKER
Job Summary
Reporting to the Foreman – Mechanical, the Boilermaker will be responsible for carrying out welding, fabrication and pipe maintenance work at the Underground mine, both planned and repair work, to the required quality standards, to ensure optimal plant/equipment availability and reliability to achieve underground mining production targets, while working in a safe and secure work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

BGCSE + National Crafts Certificate in Welding and Fabrication.

Minimum experience of 3 years’ post qualification experience at least one (1) of which must be in a similar position.

Thorough understanding of welding and fabrication techniques and ability to read engineering drawings.

Basic engineering design and development skills.

Experience in working on underground mobile, ore handling and water reticulation equipment.

Class B Driver’s License.
