Assistant Sales Officer
Excellence Skills Corporation Limited, a leading recruitment firm in Zambia, is hiring on behalf of a well-established and reputable company based in Kitwe, Zambia. The company specializes in personal protective equipment (PPE), engineering works, spares, consumables, logistics, mining support services, and general supply.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Individual who is passionate about supporting a high-performing sales team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sales Team Assistance
Support the sales team with day-to-day administrative duties and client communications
Schedule meetings, prepare documents, and assist in maintaining efficient team workflows
2. Sales Reporting & Database Management
Create and update sales reports, ensuring accurate records of sales activities and performance
Maintain and organize customer databases for quick reference and reliable tracking of interactions
3. Order and Delivery Coordination
Process sales orders and coordinate with logistics to ensure timely dispatch and delivery
Follow up with internal teams and clients to confirm delivery timelines and order accuracy
4. Presentation and Proposal Support
Assist in preparing sales proposals, presentations, product catalogues, and other materials to support sales pitches and client meetings
5. Customer Inquiry Handling
Respond to basic customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, and escalate complex issues as needed
Ensure prompt and professional service to enhance customer satisfaction and build loyalty
6. Cross-Department Collaboration
Liaise with logistics, finance, and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and communication
Facilitate the flow of information across departments to support end-to-end customer service
7. Sales Strategy Support
Assist in the rollout and monitoring of sales strategies, helping the team stay aligned with business goals
Provide input on customer trends, competitor activity, and performance metrics as needed
Any other duties assigned by supervisor or Management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Grade 12 Certificate
Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
2 years of experience in a sales support or administrative role.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with both colleagues
Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
