The Guardian Ltd, a leading newspaper company in Tanzania, is seeking Assistant Sales Representatives in Tanga, Mbeya, and Arusha. This role focuses on increasing circulation sales, advertisement sales, and e-paper subscriptions, contributing to business growth in the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive newspaper sales, subscriptions, and e-paper growth in the assigned region.
- Identify and acquire new advertising clients for both print and digital platforms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, agents, and corporate clients.
- Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and industry trends.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain accurate sales records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement sales and promotional strategies.
- Provide regular sales reports, performance updates, and recommendations.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Must be a resident of Mbeya, Iringa, Morogoro, Tanga, or Mwanza.
- Minimum Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales and marketing. Experience in the newspaper or media industry is an added advantage.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet or exceed sales targets.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office and digital sales tools.
- Familiarity with the local market in the assigned region is an added advantage.
