About the Role
The Boilermaker Supervisor will be responsible for managing fabrication, maintenance, and repair activities on underground mining equipment. This includes coordinating unit tasks, training team members, and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work output.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise and carry out fabrication, repairs, and routine inspections on underground machines.

Plan and oversee welding operations, ensuring correct materials, tools, and safety measures are used.

Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.

Maintain mill equipment to ensure maximum availability and performance.

Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to less experienced staff.

Complete work orders, safety documentation, and maintenance reports.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

Collaborate with other trades to improve equipment reliability and safety.
Qualifications
-
Trade certification in Boilermaking or Metal Fabrication.

2–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in open-cast mining.

Good understanding of Mining Safety Regulations.

Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
-
Valid Tanzania Driving License.
