Registered in 2014, STC Tanzania is part of the global So They Can International (Australia) network. In 2025, STC Tanzania partners with 34 government schools (29 primary, 5 secondary) in Babati District, reaching approximately 22,000 children (50% girls) and 350 teachers (44% female). The organization’s holistic education programs aim to enhance access, quality, and inclusion in rural education.
Role Overview
The Communications and Logistics Officer will play a dual role: leading communications efforts to highlight STC Tanzania’s work and managing the organization’s logistical operations. This position ensures smooth coordination for programs and supports the mission of providing inclusive education to children in rural communities.
Key Responsibilities
Communications:

Collaborate with STC International’s Communications Team to implement a local communications strategy aligned with global objectives.

Produce quarterly updates and annual reports showcasing STC Tanzania’s programs to the government and stakeholders.

Collect and share impact stories, including interviews, case studies, photos, and videos.

Create marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, and promotional content.

Maintain high-quality digital media archives and manage content for website, social media, and donor reports.

Ensure all communications align with organizational branding and ethical standards.
Logistics:

Supervise drivers to ensure safety and security for staff and visitors.

Maintain vehicles, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with insurance and safety requirements.

Coordinate transport, accommodation, and hospitality for visitors, staff, and volunteers.

Organize logistics for events, trainings, field visits, and workshops.
-
Provide logistical support during emergencies, ensuring preparedness and proactive coordination.
Compliance & Support:

Manage consent forms for students and ensure compliance with child protection and ethical photography standards.

Coordinate staff and partner training on policies, codes of conduct, and data protection.

Serve as Data Protection Officer, submitting quarterly compliance reports.

Perform other duties assigned by the Country Manager or Program Managers.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Share at least one impact story or video per month.

Coordinate a minimum of one local radio program per month.

Provide weekly photo updates of projects in collaboration with STC International.

Ensure all projects and staff are properly branded.

Deliver reliable transport logistics for the project team year-round.

Track and ensure 100% compliance with child protection and ethical communication guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in communications, PR, marketing, or branding, preferably within NGOs or development sectors.

Proven ability to create written and multimedia content, including storytelling, photos, and videos.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Swahili.

Proficiency in digital tools: Google Drive, Canva, MS Office, social media platforms, and basic photo/video editing software.
Desirable:

Experience in international development, education, or child rights sectors.

Familiarity with media content creation for radio, TV, and community engagement.

Knowledge of child protection principles and ethical communications practices.
