Job Summary
The Community Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between Tanganyika Blue and the local community, ensuring proactive, respectful, and mutually beneficial relations. The role focuses on managing expectations, coordinating outreach initiatives, and resolving community concerns in a constructive and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact for all community matters, including village events.

Coordinate community outreach initiatives such as local fish farming trainings and exposure visits with community or government representatives.

Organize community events, stakeholder site visits, and environmental awareness campaigns.

Document all engagements and maintain a database of stakeholder relationships.

Collaborate with internal departments to plan structured site visits, community feedback sessions, and public communication of Tanganyika Blue’s initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in community engagement, stakeholder coordination, or local development work.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Administrative skills, including reporting and documentation using Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook).

Proficiency in English and Swahili (spoken and written).

Ability to handle sensitive issues professionally and maintain trust with stakeholders.

Skilled in structured event and program planning.

Understanding of rural development dynamics; experience in Kigoma is an advantage.
