Background
Hand in Hand Eastern Africa Tanzania is part of the global Hand in Hand network, focusing on the economic and social empowerment of marginalized women, youth, and men. Since 2016, the organization has mobilized and trained over 50,000 members, creating more than 26,000 enterprises and 30,000 jobs across Tanzania.
The Field to Fork Tanzania project (December 2024 – November 2027), co-funded by the Friedkin Conservation Fund and TUI Care Foundation, aims to strengthen smallholder farmers’ livelihoods through regenerative agriculture practices in Meatu District.
Purpose of the Assignment
Hand in Hand Tanzania is seeking a consultancy firm or individual consultants to:

Conduct a Training of Trainers (TOT) for 8 implementing staff on the Regenerative Agriculture (RA) curriculum.

Provide hands-on, practical skills in RA practices that improve poultry, sunflower, and beekeeping value chains.

Produce a training report and validation report to support project interventions.
Key objectives:

Share and train staff on RA practices including Agroforestry, crop rotation, intercropping, minimum/zero tillage, integrated pest management, cover cropping, composting, mulching, silvopasture, resilient seed varieties, and resilient livestock breeds.

Equip staff with skills to boost farmers’ productivity and profitability.

Consultant Profile
The ideal consultant or firm should demonstrate:

Proven experience in regenerative agriculture and value chain development (poultry, sunflower, beekeeping) in Tanzania/East Africa.

Strong track record in training curriculum development, participatory market systems analysis, and capacity building.

Experience working with grassroots entrepreneurs, self-help groups, and NGOs.

Fluency in English and Kiswahili.

Willingness and ability to travel across Meatu District.

Ability to provide an official EFD receipt.
