Role Purpose
The Country IT Specialist is responsible for leading the strategic direction and delivery of ICT services across Plan International Tanzania.
Reporting to the Head of Finance & IT and working closely with the Regional ICT Director, this role ensures innovative and effective ICT systems that support over 150 users across the Country Office and Programme Units.
The Specialist will drive digital transformation, information security, ICT4D solutions, and business continuity, positioning ICT as an enabler of programme delivery and organisational efficiency.
Dimensions of the Role

Lead the ICT infrastructure and services, including desktops, laptops, tablets, servers, networks, printers, routers, and corporate applications (ERP, HRIS, etc.).

Manage information security, risk management, and business continuity.

Act as Data Protection Officer (DPO) and Data Privacy Point Person, ensuring compliance with data privacy policies.

Provide strategic input into budget planning (annual ICT budget ~€150K).

Ensure effective support, troubleshooting, and escalation of internet/network issues with ISPs.

Drive digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness in line with Plan International’s global ICT strategy.
