Towerco of Africa Tanzania Limited is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead planning, design, optimization, and execution of CAPEX projects for the company’s telecom tower infrastructure portfolio in Tanzania.

Job Purpose

The Engineering Manager will oversee all aspects of capital projects, including budget management, project planning, execution, and optimization, ensuring alignment with company standards, network requirements, and regulatory compliance. This role is critical in supporting business growth, network upgrades, and infrastructure expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage multi-million-dollar annual CAPEX budgets and forecasts based on business growth and network expansion needs.
Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analysis for proposed capital projects.
Review project proposals and engineering documents for compliance with budgets, network requirements, company standards, and local regulations.
Create detailed project plans, managing schedules, resources, budgets, communications, quality control, change management, and risk mitigation.
Monitor project health through status reports, financial audits, site inspections, and performance reviews.

Candidate Profile

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, or Accounting.
MBA is an added advantage.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum of 6 years’ experience managing capital projects and engineering teams in telecom, construction, or utilities.
PMP certification is required.
Expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, budget management, and project controls.
Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
