We are looking for suitably qualified, highly motivated, talented, innovative, hands-on, dynamic team players capable of working both collaboratively, as well as independently. The positions are based at the Mine Site located between Maun and Sehithwa in Ngamiland. To be successtul, you must enjoy getting out on site and have the enthusiasm, and interest to work in a remote location, as well as deliver in a multicultural work environment. EXPEDITOR

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

To monitor and follow up on the timely delivery of goods and services from suppliers to ensure that purchase orders are fulfilled in accordance with contractual lead times, specifications, and operational requirements, thereby minimising delays and disruptions to mining operations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your key accountabilities include:

  • Tracking, maintaining accurate records and following up on outstanding purchase orders to ensure timely supplier delivery.
  • Liaising with suppliers, freight forwarders and internal departments regarding delivery schedules, shipment status, and documentation.
  • Updating order status reports and notifying stakeholders of potential delays or bottlenecks.
  • Assisting in resolving delivery discrepancies, backorders or damaged shipments in coordination with procurement and warehouse teams.
  • Confirming
    that transport and customs documentation is
    prepared and submitted correctly for imported items.
  • Maintaining a database of supplier delivery performance and flag recurring issues.
  • • Escalating critical or high-risk delays to the procurement and logistics teams for intervention.
  • Supporting project and shutdown material tracking for critical path deliveries.
  • Assisting in preparing expediting reports, delivery forecasts and KPI dashboards.
  • Ensuring all follow-up actions are logged in ERP systems (e.g.,
    SAP, Pronto, Oracle).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in expediting, procurement support, or logistics
  • Certification in Supply Chain or Logistics (e.g. SAPICS, CIPS) is an added advantage
  • Experience in mining, construction, or heavy industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and supplier liaison practices
