FUEL ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

The positions are based at the Mine Site located between Maun and Sehithwa in Ngamiland. To be successtul, you must enjoy getting out on site and have the enthusiasm, and interest to work in a remote location, as well as deliver in a multicultural work environment. FUEL ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

To assist in the safe, accurate, and efficient handling, dispensing, and recording of fuel deliveries to mining equipment and vehicles, ensuring proper fuel management practices are followed to support continuous operations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your key accountabilities include:

  • Monitoring fuel levels in storage tanks and mobile bowsers and reporting low levels or discrepancies.
  • Recording fuel issued, hour meter/kilometre readings,
    equipment ID and operator details accurately.
  • Conducting routine checks on fuel dispensing equipment to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
  • Assisting in receiving, offloading and reconciling bulk fuel deliveries from suppliers.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date fuel logs and submitting daily reports to the supervisor.
  • Identifying and reporting

leaks, spills or equipment

malfunctions promptly to prevent safety and environmental incidents.

  • Ensuring adherence to safety, health and environmental (SHE) procedures when handling fuel.
  • Assisting in maintaining fuel storage areas and fuel bowsers in a clean and secure condition.
  • Supporting the implementation of fuel control procedures and participating in audits and stock takes.
  • Complying with PPE requirements and all site-specific rules related to fuel storage and usage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

  • BGCSE / Form 5 or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in fuel handling or logistics support role
  • Experience working in a mining, construction, or industrial environment preferred
  • Exposure to stock control or fuel tracking systems is an added advantage
  • Certificate in Fuel Handling, Logistics, or related field is an advantage
  • SHE/First Aid awareness training is desirable
