Role Purpose
The Grants & Partnership Management Specialist (PGS) will strengthen Plan International Tanzania’s partnerships, grants management, and donor compliance capacity. The role focuses on:

Identifying, assessing, and onboarding partners (local and international).

Supporting donor negotiations, Funding Approval Documents (FADs), contracts, and amendments.

Providing technical guidance to staff and partners on donor compliance and grants management.

Ensuring alignment with Plan International’s Partnerships Strategic Framework and Project Management standards.

Contributing to stronger design, acquisition, and implementation of grants for all projects secured by the Country Office.
Dimensions of the Role

Ensure transparent and compliant identification, selection, and onboarding of partners, including government entities.

Administer protocol matters and oversee adherence to Plan International’s partnership standards.

Lead the identification of partnerships for resource mobilization and review teaming/pre-agreement documents.

Monitor and assess partner performance, ensuring quality implementation.

Ensure at least 25% of project implementation through partnerships annually (with ~10 NGOs/CSOs).

Provide technical monitoring of grants and sponsorship income worth €10m – €13m annually.

Oversee grants administration, donor compliance, and knowledge management under the supervision of the Head of Business Development.

Collaborate extensively across departments, though the role carries no direct budget or staff management responsibility.
