Key Purpose of the Role
The Lab Technician will be responsible for sampling, sample preparation, and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, while maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain Equipment & Workplace

Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
-
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Analyze Samples
-
Prepare and analyze samples.
-
Record and report accurate results in line with standard procedures.
Process Control
-
Conduct sampling and testing according to manualized methods.
-
Handle samples with integrity.
-
Adhere to out-of-control and nonconformance procedures.
Lab Equipment Management
-
Maintain calibration records.
-
Follow calibration schedules and procedures.
Health & Safety
-
Use PPE in compliance with policies.
-
Safely handle chemicals and hazardous substances.
-
Follow lab safety rules and housekeeping schedules.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
-
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Technology.

3–6 months on-the-job training in laboratory operations.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Ability to identify and act on nonconformance.

Proactive in requesting necessary materials and tools.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
