Role Purpose

We are seeking a Knowledge, Learning & Research Specialist to strengthen our impact by enhancing knowledge management, evidence generation, and organizational learning.

This role will design and implement a comprehensive learning agenda, ensuring that lessons learned from program delivery are documented, disseminated, and applied to improve outcomes. The Specialist will work closely with MERL, Policy, Strategy, and Quality teams, as well as external partners, to promote innovation and evidence-driven decision-making across Plan International Tanzania.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and collaborative, with excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Dimensions of the Role

  • Lead knowledge management practices and support Plan International Tanzania (PIT) and partners in evidence generation.

  • Ensure lessons learned are captured, documented, and shared through internal and external platforms.

  • Promote a culture of knowledge sharing, organizational learning, and innovation.

  • Produce case studies, rapid assessments, and learning briefs to inform programme adjustments and advocacy efforts.

  • Build capacity of staff and partners in documentation and knowledge sharing.

  • Provide technical writing and editorial support for major project deliverables and reports.

  • Support advocacy and influencing agendas with evidence-based knowledge products.

  • Highlight program successes through diverse communication channels.
