Business & Human Rights Specialist

  • The Human Rights Specialist will play a central role in advancing the company’s human rights strategy by supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of action plans that promote respect for human rights in the workplace and surrounding communities. The role will also support stakeholder engagement, grievance mechanism operations, due diligence processes, training, and risk mitigation initiatives in line with local and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement an action plan to address workplace and community-based human rights challenges.Support human rights due diligence processes, including the assessment, management, and monitoring of business impacts on human rights, security, and the environment.Review and implement DMKL’s community engagement and consultation strategy, leveraging dialogue and consultation sessions to foster strong community relations.Support the operationalization of new grievance mechanisms for employees and surrounding communities, and integrate learnings into ongoing due diligence efforts.Present strategic initiatives—either DMK-led or in collaboration with NGOs—to the WD&HuRi Manager to mitigate or address social risks.
  •  Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress on human rights issues identified through Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIA), audits, or grievance mechanisms.Build internal and external capacity by delivering training and raising awareness on key human rights topics.Lead monitoring and evaluation activities related to human rights initiatives and impact tracking.

Requirements

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Sustainability, Agriculture, Law (LL.B), Sociology, Communication, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business and human rights.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international human rights laws and regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with third-party certification standards related to human rights.
  • Experience working in a corporate environment with exposure to human rights practices.
  • Strong background in community engagement and relationship-building.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Highly solution- and impact-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex issues.
  • Eligible to work in Kenya.
  • Fluent in both Swahili and English.

Head of Stores

  • The Stores Officer is responsible for the custody, control, and efficient management of the company’s stocks including spares, fuels, and agricultural inputs. This role ensures accurate and timely receipt, safe storage, issuance, and replenishment of stock as per established procedures, minimizing losses, stock-outs, and obsolescence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure custody and safety of all company stocks at all times.
  • Receive items promptly and process all related paperwork; manage the return of rejected goods and credit note approvals.
  • Maintain accurate and current stock records and documentation.
  • Implement proper warehousing practices including clean, organized, and secure storage.
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels regularly to avoid overstocking or shortages.

Financial Accounting Superitendent

Key Areas of Responsibility for the Role

  • Management of Company payroll and advice Finance Director/HRM of matters affecting Company Payroll
  • Follow up on Company general ledger on matters touching PAYE and other statutory deductions reports.
  • Reconciliation of all modules to general ledger and following up on any variance.
  • Daily operation control on accounting section-payable receivable, inventory, fixed asset under the leadership of
  • Reviewing data posted in Oracle for correctness and completeness
  • Working with planning and analyzing the variance between the budget, actuals and following up on the sources of the cost
  • Reviewing all monthly balance sheet reconciliation

Requirements

Tech Lead

  • We are recruiting for a hands-on Tech Lead to anchor the Kenyan deployment of a new platform on behalf of our Client. This role will serve as a key technical liaison between our Client’s Ghana-based engineering team and the Kenyan market implementation team. You’ll lead local technical decisions, oversee frontend integration, and ensure seamless alignment with our Client’s backend architecture.
  • This is a unique opportunity to lead a country-level technical platform while collaborating with an experienced product team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Liaison: Act as the bridge between our Client’s Ghana engineering team and the Kenyan implementation team.
  • Frontend Oversight: Lead Kenya’s frontend implementation to ensure world-class user experience across mobile and web touchpoints.
  • Project Deployment: Drive the local implementation of the platform, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality are met.
  • API Integration & Documentation: Own the integration of backend APIs into frontend workflows; ensure proper documentation and handovers.
  • Product & Infra Alignment: Work closely with the Ghana-based product managers and infra leads to align integration with core systems and 3rd party providers.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with local partners, payment service provider, or partner devs involved in the deployment.
  • QA/UAT Support: Manage end-to-end testing, ensure bug tracking, regression testing, and smooth go-live.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills
  • Strong frontend development experience (e.g. Vue.js, React, or Angular).
  • Comfortable with Laravel/PHP-based backend systems — able to review code, troubleshoot, and collaborate effectively.
  • Proficient in RESTful API design and integration.
  • Familiar with infrastructure integration – especially in payments, mobile money, or digital wallet ecosystems.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, cloud deployment (e.g., AWS or DigitalOcean).

Leadership & Product

  • 3–5+ years experience in software engineering, ideally in fintech or platform-based businesses.
  • Experience leading deployments in cross-market or multi-country contexts.
  • Excellent grasp of Agile delivery & product/project lifecycle management tools (Jira, Asana, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design in African consumer and agent-based environments.
