Key Responsibilities

File and manage legal suits for accounts referred by the Head of Credit Recovery
-
Prepare pleadings and instructions/briefs for external lawyers
-
Strategically manage external lawyers’ performance and appointments
-
Minimize legal risk in recovery by establishing performance-based contracts with support functions
-
Issue demand notices and statutory notices timely in coordination with Recovery department
-
Advise business units and management on law, compliance, and corporate governance
-
Review securities, contracts, and other banking and finance documents
-
Identify key legal risks and recommend mitigation measures
-
Manage litigation fees and associated costs effectively
-
Represent the bank in courts, tribunals, arbitration, and tax hearings
Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) – Required

Advocate of the High Court – Required

Master’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, or Banking – Advantageous

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
