We aim to increase access to finance and drive social mobility in Tanzania, offering products such as car, motorcycle, and tuk-tuk financing, smartphone loans, logbook loans, and more.

Key Responsibilities

Represent Mogo Credit in court cases, including the High Court of Tanzania, and follow up on legal proceedings.
Draft, review, and update contracts, agreements, and company policies in line with Tanzanian law.
Provide legal advice to management and departments on compliance and risk mitigation.
Liaise with regulators, law firms, and government agencies on legal and compliance matters.
Maintain accurate legal records and manage case files.
Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and policies affecting company operations.
Conduct legal and compliance training for staff.
Support preparation of agendas, documentation, and minutes for legal discussions.
Assess legal risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B); Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice is a plus.
Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania with a valid practicing certificate.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in corporate, banking, or financial services law.
Strong knowledge of Tanzanian laws, particularly in finance, contracts, litigation, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
High integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
Strong communication skills in English and Kiswahili (written and spoken).
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
