Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Management Accountant to join our growing team. The role will be responsible for delivering accurate financial information, analysis, and insights to support decision-making, project management, and sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports.
Develop and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Track financial performance of engineering and plant hire projects against budgets.
Conduct costing, pricing, and profitability analysis for projects and contracts.
Manage and reconcile accounts in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and senior management to provide financial insights and support.
Oversee receivables, payables, and cash flow management.
Support statutory audits and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
Implement and improve internal financial controls and reporting systems.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
(Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA will be an added advantage.)
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in the engineering, construction, or plant hire industry.
Strong knowledge of project accounting, cost control, and financial analysis.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
