Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager
- The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager is responsible for designing and implementing our client measurement and learning systems, while also leading the storytelling of impact through data, case studies, and real-life narratives. This role transforms field data into actionable insights and compelling stories that inspire stakeholders, inform strategy, and build our client reputation as a trusted innovator in livestock health. From dashboards to human-centered stories, the M&E Manager is the bridge between results and resonance—driving performance and championing our client voice in the ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- M&E Framework Design & Implementation
- Develop and maintain M&E plans, logframes, and performance indicators for all programs.
- Ensure frameworks align with donor expectations, internal strategy, and sector standards.
- Build simple but rigorous systems for both outcome tracking and operational feedback.
- Data Collection & Quality Assurance
- Oversee quantitative and qualitative data collection via digital tools and fieldwork.
- Train field teams and partners on consistent data protocols.
- Implement spot-checks and audits to ensure high-quality data flows.
- Performance Analysis & Strategic Reporting
- Analyze program data and generate internal dashboards for decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with key trends and performance metrics.
- Provide insights that inform program pivots, strategic reviews, and fundraising.
- Storytelling & Case Study Development
- Collect human-centered stories, testimonials, and photos from the field.
- Collaborate with People & Culture team to transform data into content: case studies, infographics, success narratives, and social media snippets.
- Package M&E insights into compelling presentations and donor communications.
- Learning & Adaptive Management
- Organize reflection sessions with program teams to review performance and lessons.
- Lead internal learning reviews and contribute to the development of new program models.
- Capture “what works” and “what didn’t” to improve design and delivery across the organization.
- Donor & External Stakeholder Engagement
- Support preparation of evidence-backed donor reports and funding proposals.
- Respond to data or story requests from partners, evaluators, and journalists.
- Liaise with external evaluators during baseline, midline, or endline studies.

Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Health, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation, learning systems, and impact reporting, preferably within the livestock, agriculture, or health sectors.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and manage M&E systems, including logical frameworks, performance indicators, data collection tools, and reporting structures in line with donor and internal requirements.
- Demonstrated skills in using digital data collection platforms (e.g., ODK, KoboToolbox), data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or STATA), and dashboard/reporting tools for generating actionable insights.
- Ability to transform data into compelling stories, case studies, and reports for both internal and external audiences; strong writing and presentation skills are essential for donor reporting and stakeholder engagement.
