Senior Lecturer – Department of Environmental and Occupational Health
Qualifications and experience
- An earned PhD degree in the following areas or related field from a recognized institution of higher learning.
- Environmental Health with a Bachelor of Science in either Environmental Health or Public Health and registration with Public Health Officers and Technicians Council.
- Water Sanitation and Hygiene
- Occupational Safety and Health
- Health Promotion
- Health Education
- At least three (3) years of University teaching experience as a full-time Lecturer or in research or in industry.
- At least three (3) articles in refereed journals since being appointed as a Lecturer
- Successful supervision of at least three (3) master’s students.
- Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
Lecturer – Department of Environmental and Occupational Health
Qualifications and experience
- An earned PhD degree in the following specializations or related field from a recognized institution of higher learning.

Tutorial Fellow – Department of Environmental and Occupational Health
Qualifications and experience
- Master’s degree in the following specializations or related field from a recognized institution of higher learning
- Health Promotion with either a bachelor’s degree in Population Health or Health Promotion
- Health Education with either a bachelor’s degree in Population Health or Health Promotion
- Population Health with a Bachelor’s Degree in Population Health
- Reproductive Health with a Bachelor’s Degree in Population Health
- Medical Demography or Biostatistics with a health related Bachelors degree
- Environmental Health with either a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health or Public Health and registration with Public Health Officers and Technicians Council
- Water Sanitation with either a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health or Public Health
- Registration for PhD Degree will be an added advantage
Lecturer – Department of Community Health and Reproductive Health Nursing
Qualifications and experience
- PhD Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning with specialization in the following areas;
- Mental Health & Psychiatry Nursing
- Oncology Nursing.
- Master’s degree in Mental Health and Psychiatry Nursing or Oncology Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree.
- At least three (3) years university teaching experience.
- At least two (2) articles in refereed journals.
- Evidence of good quality teaching and Research output.
- Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) with a valid practicing
Clinical Instructor – Department of Community Health and Reproductive Health Nursing
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited institution of higher learning.
- Master’s degree in either Midwifery, Oncology or Mental and Psychiatry Nursing from an accredited institution of higher learning will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a referral, teaching and research institution or a hospital.
- Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) and hold a valid practicing license.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
Lecturer – Department of Medical Surgical Nursing and Pre-clinical Sciences
Qualifications and experience
- PhD in either Critical Care, Nephrology Nursing, Advanced Nursing Practice, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Emergency & Trauma Nursing, Nurse Anaesthetist, or Nursing Leadership.
- Master’s degree in any of the above mentioned nursing specializations.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree.
- A minimum of two (2) research publications in refereed journals.
- Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and have a valid practicing license.
- At least three (3) years of experience in either teaching and research or clinical nursing practice.
Lecturer – Prosthodontics
Qualifications and experience
- Masters of dental surgery degree:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from an accredited and recognized institution.
- At least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research or in industry.
- A minimum of two (2) research publications in refereed scholarly journals.
- Registration with the relevant body and a valid practicing license.
Lecturer – Periodontology
Qualifications and experience
- Masters of dental surgery degree:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from an accredited and recognized institution.
- At least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research or in industry.
- A minimum of two (2) research publications in refereed scholarly journals.
- Registration with the relevant body and a valid practicing license.
Lecturer – Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Qualifications and experience
- Masters of dental surgery degree:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from an accredited and recognized institution.
- At least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research or in industry.
- A minimum of two (2) research publications in refereed scholarly journals.
- Registration with the relevant body and a valid practicing license.
Lecturer – Paediatric Dentistry
Qualifications and experience

Lecturer – Head and Neck Radiology
Qualifications and experience
- Masters of dental surgery degree:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from an accredited and recognized institution.
- At least three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research or in industry.
- A minimum of two (2) research publications in refereed scholarly journals.
- Registration with the relevant body and a valid practicing license.
Professor – Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health
Qualifications and experience
- An earned PhD Degree in Medicine or Public Health or its equivalent from an accredited University.
- Mmed in Psychiatry or equivalent Degree from an accredited and recognized University.
- At least three (3) years of university teaching experience as an Associate Professor
- Successfully supervised at least five (5) postgraduate students to completion of which two (2) should be at Doctoral level since being appointed as an Associate Professor.
- At least five (5) articles in refereed journals since being appointed as an Associate Professor
- Evidence of successfully applying for a grant either individually or as a group since being appointed as an Associate Professor.
- Evidence of attendance and contribution at learning conferences, seminars and workshops.
- Registration by the KMPDC with a valid practicing license.
Associate Professor – Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health
Qualifications and experience
- An earned PhD Degree in Medicine or Public Health or its equivalent from an accredited University.
- MMed in Psychiatry or equivalent from an accredited University.
- At least three (3) years of university teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer.
- At least four (4) articles in refereed journals since being appointed as a Senior Lecturer.
- Successful supervision of at least four (4) post graduate students to completion of which one (1) should be at Doctoral level since being appointed as a Senior Lecturer.
- Evidence of applying for a grant either individually or as a group since being appointed as a Senior Lecturer
- Registration by the KMPDC with a valid practicing license.

Qualifications and experience
- An earned PhD degree in German Language from a recognized institution.
- At least three (3) years University teaching or research / industry experience
- At least two (2) articles in refereed journals
- Evidence of attendance and contribution at learning conferences, seminars or workshops
Tutorial Fellow – Department of Literature, Linguistics & Foreign Languages
Qualifications and experience
- Master’s degree in German Language from a recognized institution.
- University teaching experience will be an added advantage
- Applicants must be prepared to pursue PhD in the specified areas of specialization.
- Registration for PhD Degree will be an added advantage

Tutorial Fellows are employed on one (1) year renewable contract up to a maximum of three (3) years.
