Operations & Admin Coordinator
Zambilli is a locally-owned agribusiness startup specialising in the production and distribution of high-quality specialty crops. Our operations are based between Lusaka and our farm in the Lower Zambezi valley area.
As we expand, we are seeking a capable and dependable individual to support a wide range of business functions. This is a full-time, dual-location role involving regular travel between Lusaka and the farm. The position combines elements of operations, administration, logistics, basic finance, staff coordination, and client support.
Given the dynamic nature of the business, the ideal candidate will be highly adaptable, organised, and proactive — someone who is comfortable managing shifting priorities and contributing across multiple areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Harvest & Post-Harvest Management – Coordinate harvests, collection and transportation, maintain accurate harvest records, and oversee grading, sorting, and packaging of produce.
- Operations & Logistics – Manage stock levels, coordinate supplies, organise deliveries to clients, and ensure all delivery notes, packaging, and transport processes are documented accurately.
- Administrative & Financial Support – Handle bookkeeping and expense tracking, maintain petty cash records, support staff attendance monitoring, and assist with the development of inventory or tracking systems.
- Client Relations & Sales Support – Liaise with clients on orders and deliveries, issue invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments when necessary as well as deal with any issues that may arise.
- Project & Staff Coordination – Assist with the supervision of farm staff, and support farm-related projects such as infrastructure works & improvements.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is:
- Based in Lusaka, with the ability to travel to the farm regularly
- Has minimum 2-years experience in an operational farm
- Holds a minimum diploma-level qualification in agri, admin or business
- Holds a valid driver’s licence and is confident driving long distance
- Proficient in intermediate computer and mobile applications
- Organised and reliable, with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Comfortable working in both field and office environment
