Job Overview
Kafika House is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Patient Care Team. The role focuses on providing compassionate pre- and post-operative care to pediatric patients, ensuring high standards of treatment and support.
Key Responsibilities

Perform initial assessments for pediatric patients.

Develop and implement Individualized Therapeutic Care Plans.

Manage patient medications according to treatment plans.

Attend medical and surgical clinics, liaising with doctors.

Participate in daily and weekly patient rounds, providing care updates.

Perform pre- and post-operative wound care.
-
Advocate for patients and provide holistic clinical care.

Educate patients and families about treatments and ongoing care.

Maintain clean, organized workspaces and operate sterilization equipment.

Ensure accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in the Electronic Medical Record system.

Supervise, teach, and mentor students and volunteers.

Engage in community activities, including patient screening, advocacy, and disability awareness programs.

Participate in continuing professional development programs.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications & Skills
-
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Valid registration with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in pediatric or surgical nursing.

Strong assessment, planning, and documentation skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
