Role Overview:
The Relationship Officer – Business Banking will play a key role in driving business growth by managing a quality portfolio, expanding liabilities, and delivering tailored financial solutions to both DCB and non-DCB business clients. The role ensures that the bank meets its strategic objectives while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Relationship/Branch Managers to grow business portfolios through new client acquisition, increased product uptake, and higher transaction volumes.

Develop and implement strategies to identify client needs and offer appropriate banking products and services.

Nurture existing client relationships to achieve incremental sales and anticipate business requirements.

Maintain in-depth product knowledge and work closely with the product team to develop customized solutions.

Support and refine potential client lists in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Participate in sales planning initiatives, designing relationship plans to generate new business through marketing calls, promotions, and presentations.

Ensure compliance with due diligence, internal policies, and KYC norms during account openings.

Achieve prescribed weekly and monthly disbursement and deposit targets.

Prepare and submit periodic activity reports, including daily calls and follow-ups, to the branch manager.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales and client management within a financial institution.

Strong understanding of business banking practices in Dar es Salaam.

Excellent selling, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools.

Customer-centric with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
