Job Purpose
The Senior ICT Officer I – Applications will ensure operational efficiency of ICT systems, provide first-line support to users, assist in application testing and upgrades, and maintain data integrity and system documentation.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor implementation of ICT policies, procedures, and strategies for financing operations.

Prepare, analyze, and maintain statistical and operational reports on ICT applications.

Provide first-line support for core banking applications; escalate unresolved issues to the Business Solutions Manager.

Identify and report application-related data entry or processing issues; advise programmers on corrective actions.

Implement ICT policies, procedures, and standards for data integrity and user support.

Assist in testing, piloting, and rolling out new or upgraded application systems.

Conduct daily application health checks and provide end-user assistance.

Troubleshoot application-related incidents and perform root cause analysis.

Support system backup, recovery, and documentation of application processes.

Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and provide training to system users.

Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Business Solutions Manager.
Candidate Profile
Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, ICT, Information Systems Management, or related field from a recognized institution.
Experience & Skills:

Minimum 10 years of ICT applications support experience in banking or financial institutions.

Strong understanding of core banking systems, ICT operations, and troubleshooting practices.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Knowledge of software testing, system upgrades, bug fixing, and application support tools.

Relevant ICT professional certifications are an advantage.
