KCB Bank Tanzania is seeking a highly skilled Unit Head – Corporate Affairs & Sustainability to lead the Bank’s corporate communications and sustainability initiatives. This full-time role offers a chance to shape the Bank’s brand image, manage internal and external communications, and drive impactful sustainability programs across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and implement the corporate communications annual calendar and workplan, tracking deliverables and performance metrics.

Develop effective external communication strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and optimizing media visibility.

Review and quality-check all external communications to maintain brand consistency and uphold the Bank’s image.

Manage media relations and third-party communication providers; maintain a database of media contacts and agencies.

Monitor traditional and digital media to identify reputational risks and provide performance reports on communication initiatives.

Lead the development of internal and external communication content across channels such as newsletters, intranet, emails, videos, and presentations.

Maintain and improve internal and external communication platforms and feedback mechanisms for continuous engagement.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather updates, package information, and coordinate timely distribution while tracking communication ROI.

Coordinate KCB Group’s sustainability strategy, integrating Social and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) and monitoring progress.

Manage sustainability programs, including research, reporting, stakeholder engagement, compliance reviews, and identifying opportunities for green initiatives.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education & Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Arts, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, or relevant field – Required

Sustainability Training & Environmental and Social Risk Training – Added Advantage

Master’s degree in Arts, Social Sciences, or Business Administration – Added Advantage
Experience:

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or sustainability management.
