Business Analyst

  • To extract data from call center systems, analyse it and generate  meaningful business information and reports that allow the business to  identify business needs and business solutions that are consistent with the Customer Experience goals and targets

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify the data that is required to deliver business information requirements in respect to customer experience.
  • Gather and analyse data, compiling analysis reports to support  management decision making
  • Use data modelling practices to analyse business data, macro data, industry trends and general macro-economic data
  • Assess impact of macro-economic trends in the telecommunication industry and on Telkom Kenya and prepare informative reports for management consumption
  • Analyse on-going operations and identify key areas where operational improvements can drive the financial performance of the business
  • Communicate and present results in formats that accurately reflect data
  • Investigate results achieved to ensure accuracy of data

QA and Maintenance Engineer

  • The QA and Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and operational continuity of our client digital platforms and internal systems. This role focuses on testing, system maintenance, and incident resolution, ensuring that software releases are stable, tools are functioning optimally, and issues are quickly addressed. The engineer plays a critical role in maintaining our client standards as it scales operations in factoring, traceability, and vaccine delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance & Platform Testing
  • Design and execute test plans for web and mobile applications before deployment.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs across all digital tools.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Tech and Tech Consultants to ensure timely fixes and improvements.
  • Ensure regression testing is performed before each release.
  • Maintenance of Systems & Devices
  • Conduct regular audits of system performance (e.g., dashboards, apps, hardware tools like tags).
  • Support scheduled maintenance activities including patches, updates, and bug fixes.
  • Ensure mobile devices, tags, and other field tech are functioning and updated.
  • IT Support & Issue Resolution
  • Adopt the organization ticketing system to track and resolve tech issues.
  • Provide technical support during onboarding or system deployments.
  • Coordinate remote troubleshooting with field teams and end users.
  • Data Integrity, Backup & Compliance
  • Support data recovery testing and automated backups of operational systems.
  • Conduct regular checks for data anomalies or risks.
  • Ensure systems are aligned with Kenya’s Data Protection Act and internal IT policies.
  • Vendor, Tool & SLA Monitoring
  • Support procurement of QA tools and testing software where needed.
  • Track vendor performance and escalate service issues as needed.
  • Ensure external tech tools used meet uptime and usability standards.
  • Collaboration with Tech & Product Teams
  • Work closely with the engineering team during sprints to ensure code quality.
  • Test and support the deployment of partner-facing platforms (e.g., Zhulia, Shephard).
  • Assist in performance monitoring of platforms in real-world field conditions.

Requirements

Requirements – QA and Maintenance Engineer

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, system maintenance, software testing, or IT support, preferably in a technology-driven or field-based environment.
  • Proficiency in creating and executing manual and automated test plans, identifying bugs, and performing regression testing. Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, Postman, or JIRA is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct system audits, manage updates/patches, support mobile and hardware tools, and resolve technical issues both remotely and on-site.
  • Knowledge of data integrity practices, backup procedures, and alignment with regulatory frameworks like Kenya’s Data Protection Act; ability to ensure system and data compliance with internal policies.

  • Develop and maintain M&E plans, logframes, and performance indicators for all programs.
  • Ensure frameworks align with donor expectations, internal strategy, and sector standards.
  • Build simple but rigorous systems for both outcome tracking and operational feedback.
  • Data Collection & Quality Assurance
  • Oversee quantitative and qualitative data collection via digital tools and fieldwork.
  • Train field teams and partners on consistent data protocols.

  • Donor & External Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support preparation of evidence-backed donor reports and funding proposals.
  • Respond to data or story requests from partners, evaluators, and journalists.
  • Liaise with external evaluators during baseline, midline, or endline studies.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Health, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least five (5) years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation, learning systems, and impact reporting, preferably within the livestock, agriculture, or health sectors.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and manage M&E systems, including logical frameworks, performance indicators, data collection tools, and reporting structures in line with donor and internal requirements.
  • Demonstrated skills in using digital data collection platforms (e.g., ODK, KoboToolbox), data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or STATA), and dashboard/reporting tools for generating actionable insights.
  • Ability to transform data into compelling stories, case studies, and reports for both internal and external audiences; strong writing and presentation skills are essential for donor reporting and stakeholder engagement.
