Introduction
Dar es Salaam Tumaini University (DarTU) is in the process of strategic re-engineering and rebranding, to among other things, keep abreast of developments relating to the digital economy and the 4th Industrial Revolution, (Industry 4.0). As part of this transformation, DarTU aims to nurture theologians, spiritual leaders, and faith-based professionals, empowering them to contribute meaningfully not only to spiritual and social wellbeing but also to community resilience and sustainable economic development. It is in this context that DarTU invites qualified, talented, vibrant, and morally sound persons to apply for the position of Assistant Lecturer in Theology.
Assistant Lecturers in Theology (3 Positions)
The applicant must be a holder of a Master’s degree in Theology, Divinity, or a closely related field with a minimum GPA of 4.0, and a Bachelor’s degree in Diaconic Management, Theology, or closely related fields with a minimum GPA of 3.5, from institutions recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU). The applicants must be able to teach Theology courses at undergraduate and non-degree levels. Prior experience in University teaching and Pastoral or Ministerial service will be an added advantage. Applicants with the following specializations will be given preference:
- Theology/Religious Studies
- Divinity
- Christian Ministry & Education
- Pastoral/Practical Theology
- Church History
- Church Management & Leadership
- Diaconia & Stewardship
- Missiology & Interreligious Dialogue
- Intercultural Relations
- Community Development & Social Work
- Research & Human Rights Advocacy
Remuneration
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to successful candidates commensurate with their qualifications and experience.

- Certificates from Foreign Universities, certified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU)
- Submission of forged certificates and other information will lead to legal action
