Position Summary
IHI seeks Assistant Nursing Officer Interns to join its Clinical Trials Facility. The selected candidates will work at designated trial sites, supporting participant recruitment, follow-up visits, and providing nursing care for various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities

Participate in the design of data collection tools (source documents, case report forms).

Educate volunteers on study protocols and obtain informed consent.

Conduct and document vital signs and anthropometric assessments.

Collect and label biological samples (blood, serum, urine, etc.) for analysis.

Assist in developing workflow procedures and duty rosters.

Provide counselling and medical guidance to study participants.

Maintain accurate medical and study records.

Deliver nursing and midwifery care according to treatment guidelines.

Ensure participant rights are upheld and documented consent is in place.

Perform other duties assigned by the Project Leader.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery.

Registered and licensed to practice by TNMC.

Proven experience in a clinical facility setting.
Skills & Competencies
-
Basic digital skills (Microsoft Office, data management tools).

Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Strong communication skills in English & Swahili.

Self-motivated, collaborative, and problem-solving mindset.

Strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
