Job Purpose
The Business Development Officer II – Projects Management will support the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of strategic agricultural projects, ensuring alignment with TADB’s objectives and development finance standards.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation, coordination, and implementation of strategic projects across agriculture, livestock, and fisheries sectors.

Support design, piloting, and rollout of projects tailored to diverse agricultural clients and value chain actors.

Participate in project appraisals, feasibility studies, and due diligence processes.

Collect, validate, and analyze project data to support monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.

Prepare regular project progress reports highlighting achievements, risks, lessons learned, and recommendations.

Liaise with internal teams, government agencies, private sector partners, and other DFIs for effective project coordination.

Provide operational support to consultants, vendors, and external stakeholders engaged in project activities.

Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and capacity-building engagements for project beneficiaries.

Contribute to integrating climate-smart and sustainable practices across project interventions.

Identify risks and challenges affecting project implementation and propose mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with TADB policies, development finance standards, and environmental and social safeguards.

Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and databases.

Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Candidate Profile
Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Development Studies, Project Management, Banking, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized institution.
Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 1-year relevant experience in Project Management, Agricultural Development, Development Finance, or a related field.

Practical exposure to Project Appraisals, Feasibility Studies, Monitoring & Evaluation, Stakeholder Engagement, and Value Chain Analysis.

Strong analytical ability in financial and non-financial project evaluation.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills.

Strong communication, reporting, and documentation proficiency.

Solid understanding of agricultural value chains (Crops, Livestock, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Agroforestry, Irrigation, Processing, and Distribution).
