Engineering Stores Officer
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory of materials, including silico manganese, lubricants, Furnace oil, spares, and PPE.
- Coordinate with procurement for the timely replenishment of stock.
- Issue materials and maintenance teams as per requirement and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and preservation of items in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Conduct regular stock audits, verify physical vs. system inventory, and report discrepancies.
- Maintain documentation such as GRN, issuance notes, requisitions etc..
- Liaise with maintenance and production departments to forecast demand.
- Monitor shelf life and condition of critical materials such as refractories and electrodes.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines in store operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Materials Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a steel plant or industrial stores, preferably in furnace operations.
