FIELD SALES MANAGER

Job Purpose

  • Execute commercial business strategies in the area of operation.

  • Proactively manage customer relationships to ensure sustained business growth using Sales First Tools, such as SPANCOP, time tracking, and weekly plans.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Manage customer relationships for sustainable business development.

  • Grow business volume and profitability (C3) according to annual targets.

  • Manage trade debtors to achieve targeted debt ratios.

  • Implement class-of-business strategy in line with marketing policy and principles.

  • Monitor and report on competitors’ marketing activities.

  • Deliver strong customer value propositions.

  • Liaise with service centres to ensure compliance with delivery levels and resolve issues promptly.

  • Ensure high return on asset utilization.

  • Identify and prioritize key stakeholders (community leaders, NGOs, etc.) and assess business/reputational impact.

  • Participate in annual target-setting processes.

  • Manage within agreed operating and capital expenditures.

  • Ensure all customers have signed supply agreements.

  • Enforce compliance with Vivo Energy’s business principles and HSSE requirements.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • University degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Commercial degree/diploma or equivalent, especially in Sales & Marketing.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing or sales environment.

  • Proven track record of delivering results.
