MSUFINI (T) LTD is in the process of establishing a 45 Metric Tons Per Day (MTPD) Chlor-Alkali Plant in Mlandizi, Tanzania. As a leading company in East Africa’s industrial chemicals sector, we are seeking highly qualified, experienced, and motivated professionals to join our management team.

We are currently recruiting a Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations and ensure efficient management of resources across the organization.

Position: Financial Controller

Duty Station: Mlandizi, Pwani Region, Tanzania

Reports to: Managing Director

Role Overview

The Financial Controller will lead all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, investment planning, and risk management. This role requires a strategic mindset with expertise in investment banking, corporate finance, and fund management, alongside experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial operations.

The Financial Controller will ensure compliance with regulations, optimize financial performance, and support strategic decision-making for the company.

Key Responsibilities

Lead accounting and finance operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Oversee investment planning, fund management, and risk management strategies.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
Lead and mentor the finance team for operational excellence.
Prepare reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (BCom) – Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with active registration.
Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) – Finance, Strategy, or related specialization.
Minimum 10 years of senior financial leadership experience, ideally as CFO, Finance Director, or Investment Manager.
Strong expertise in investment banking, corporate finance, or fund management.
Experience in the chemical manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
Proven track record in financial structuring, M&A, capital planning, and modeling.
