FOOD AND BEVERAGES CONTROLLER
Fairground Holdings (Pty) Ltd t/a Botswana Conference & Exhibition Centre is seeking a self-driven, innovative, and highly experienced professional to join as a Food and Beverages Controller. The company is a leading provider of meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) in Botswana.
Main Purpose of the Job
Ensures all stock transactions are recorded and fully accounted for and maintains adequate stock levels.
Key Performance Areas

Implements business plans derived from FGH’s overall strategy to manage food and beverage stock controls and meet corporate objectives.

Ensures competitive purchase prices for food and beverages.

Takes responsibility for proper stock rotation and that issues are made on a first-in, first-out basis to reduce wastage and costs.

Ensures the availability of inventory for functions, including opening and closing inventories, and accurate summaries.

Generates orders for the procurement of beverages and supplies to the Procurement Specialist.

Assists with the completion of monthly records for all food and beverage issues and ensures the completion of consumption summaries.

Prepares and develops Food and Beverage stock control reports.

Responsible for stock records systems and ensures they are accurate and up-to-date.

Checks that all issues for supplies are made against requisitions, and that no items leave the storage room without the appropriate documentation and approval.

Minimum Requirements

A Diploma in Procurement/Purchasing and Supply/Supply Chain Management or an equivalent related qualification.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in stock control/procurement, preferably in a hospitality environment.
