GROUP ACCOUNTANT
Job Summary
The Group Accountant is responsible for overseeing and consolidating the financial accounts of the group and its subsidiaries, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting key financial decision-making. The role involves preparing group financial statements, managing intercompany reconciliations, and contributing to group-wide budgeting and forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and other relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
- Oversee group audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process for the group.
- Assist in the preparation of board reports and investor presentations.
- Maintain the group chart of accounts and financial reporting systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree/Equivalent in Accounting
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, BICA)
- Be Registered with BICA
- 10+ years of experience in group or financial accounting
- Strong understanding of IFRS and consolidation principles
- Experience with Sage 200 Evolution and Sage Intaact is an advantage
