Job Overview
The role combines IT systems management with communications and media support. The successful candidate will ensure smooth IT operations while supporting hospital engagement, promotion, and multi-channel communications.
Key Responsibilities
IT & Technical Support

Implement, configure, and maintain IT systems, hardware, and software.

Troubleshoot user issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity.

Perform regular system backups and implement disaster recovery procedures.

Maintain inventory of IT assets, licenses, and ensure documentation compliance.

Ensure cybersecurity measures and protocols are enforced and updated.
-
Install and maintain computers, printers, smartboards, tablets, and other devices.

Manage user accounts, including cloud-based solutions.

Develop and deliver IT training sessions and instructional materials for staff.

Ensure CCTV and other security systems remain operational.

Participate in IT projects from planning to evaluation.
Communications & Promotion

Develop content for press releases, web stories, op-eds, fact sheets, and event briefings.

Support the hospital’s communications strategy across multiple channels.

Manage social media platforms and internal communication campaigns.

Produce multi-media content for staff, clients, and the public.

Engage with stakeholders, providing advice and persuasive communication.

Collaborate with teams to integrate communications across offline and online platforms.
Qualifications & Skills
-
Education: Diploma or above in Information Technology; additional qualification in Mass Communications or Public Relations is an advantage.

Experience: 3+ years in IT systems support, database administration, development, web design, and communications.

Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networks, and Windows-based systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Kiswahili.

Competency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.

Problem-solving skills and ability to interact with multiple projects.

Interest in global health, family planning, or reproductive health is desirable.
