AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
JOB PURPOSE
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer ensures aircraft operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with CAAB regulations. Responsibilities include assessing and performing repairs, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining high safety and security standards. Preventative maintenance is a key aspect to ensure continued airworthiness and operational reliability.
Output / Key Responsibilities

Inspect, test, repair, and install aircraft mechanical and flight system components, engines, subassemblies, and related parts.

Ensure all technical issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.

Perform all additional maintenance tasks as required by operational demands.

Ensure full compliance with safety standards set by the company and the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB).

Troubleshoot and resolve technical defects.

Complete all relevant documentation accurately before releasing the aircraft for service.

Carry out defect rectification tasks off-base when necessary to support operational requirements.
Skills and Competencies Required

Strategic thinking.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and safety-oriented approach.

Experience in task planning and aviation technical records management.

Familiarity with airworthiness and maintenance regulations in civil aviation.

Knowledge of safety rules and safe working practices.

Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations, including CAAB regulatory requirements and best practices.

Successfully passed the Knowledge & Skills Test in accordance with CAAB regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements

Diploma in Aviation Engineering Maintenance.

Minimum of five (5) years of practical experience in aircraft engineering maintenance.

Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License, endorsed on Cessna 208, 208B, and GA8 Airvan aircraft.
