ASSISTANT FOOD AND BEVERAGES MANAGER
Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is to assist the Food and Beverage Manager in the daily operations of the Food and Beverage Department. In the absence of the Manager, the Assistant will take over her responsibilities. This role involves managing and supervising all food and beverage areas to ensure prompt, polite, efficient, and high-standard service, satisfying guests and adhering to lodge procedures and standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Support

Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in planning and coordinating daily operations of food and beverage outlets.
Staff Management
-
Ensure all staff are aware of their job descriptions, duties, and operating procedures.

Supervise, maintain, and improve performance of all Food and Beverage staff where necessary.
Excellent Customer Service

Maintain good communication between departments and employees.

Monitor staff interactions to ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.
Cleanliness and Hygiene

Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all Food and Beverage areas.
Qualifications and Requirements

Formal qualifications in Hotel and Tourism Management or Hospitality Management (Certificate, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent).

At least three (3) years in a similar role, preferably within the safari industry.

Fully computer literate with strong training skills.

Good practical understanding of kitchen operations and processes.

Ability to multitask under pressure and an uncompromising approach to excellence.

Proven organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate subordinates and maintain a positive working environment.

Highly innovative, methodical, and self-motivated.
