Job Vacancy – Legal Counsel

Role Overview
-
Provide legal services and ensure compliance with the Commission’s decisions.
-
Safeguard human rights and ensure the Commission operates within the law.
Key Responsibilities
-
Draft legal opinions to support investigations and legal compliance.
-
Prepare contracts and other legal documents for the Commission.
-
Undertake litigation and mediation to resolve human rights complaints.
-
Prosecute offences under the Act to enforce human rights standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least 5 ‘O’ Level credits.

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
-
Valid practising certificate.
-
Minimum 3 years post-bar admission experience.
-
Skills: Computer literacy, initiative, negotiation, confidentiality, integrity, advocacy, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
