MINING ENGINEER
To undergo comprehensive training on opencast functions such as safety standards, policies and procedures, mining methods and projects management, designs, plans, site inspection, cost control, optimal equipment utilization and standard maintenance of mining machinery, managing mining operations, staying updated on new technologies, survey functions, report generation, and evaluation of operations.
Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or related discipline.

Attention to detail.

Previous experience not a prerequisite but will be an added advantage.

Good understanding of MQWM Act Chapter 44:02.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels are essential conditions.

Persuasive methodical mining techniques.

Outstanding time management.

Should demonstrate preparedness and approach to take censure.

Must be able to learn under pressure.

Valid Class B driver’s license.
-
Medically fit and have sober habits.
Job Responsibilities
-
Regular adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, policies, and procedures.

Timely completion of tasks assigned by the supervisor and provision of support to other team members and generation of reports.

To learn assessment methods of feasibility for commercial benefit of new sites.

Demonstration of readiness to learn in a wide spectrum of mining discipline such as drill and blast, load and haul, pit services, and equipment utilization, etc.

Acquires planning skills, ensuring implementation of mining systems, safe material extraction risks, and management.

Acquire skills on production of models or plans for current and possible future mining sites.

Utilization of company recognized computer applications to capitalize on planning and production.
